Does the MIDI device appear there? Is it selected for input? Does it operate the Test correctly? It's still non functioning.Īny other ideas? This is a brand new clean install of Sibelius 7 by the way. Nothing changed, it did not fix the broken midi input. I followed your instructions and applied the hotfix to my system. I can't get anywhere on my own, I think I have gone as far as I can go with the self help troubleshooting, I'm stuck. I'm not a newbie.ĭoes anyone have any ideas if there is a possible solution to this issue? Or should I flush Sibelius down the dust bin of history and move on? I've updated all my system, video, audio drivers and the like. I've got plenty of processing power, that can't be the problem. Yes I have installed the latest most updated drivers for my device. I'm using ASIO M-Audio M-track plus for my audio/midi interface. The problem is midi input from my keyboard always fails and freezes up. I can play back the sample scores and Sibelius Player will playback correctly. All my problems occur when using Sibelius 7 with sample library and Sibelius player enabled. I am able to use a hardware synth: a Roland SC-55 no problem at all with Sibelius 7. I don't have any problems with my other software, just Sibelius 7 when using the sample library. I have tried two different midi keyboards.īoth of these keyboards work perfectly fine in all my other midi software: Sonar X3 and Reaper. Sibelius 7 has always been very unreliable and unstable when using Sibelius 7 sample library. Midi input always stops and freezes right away after starting a session. It's been more like a nightmare than a compositional or arranging tool. I never had any luck getting Sibelius 7 work properly on my system.
